Criminal law (with reference to immigration law)

Due to our specialisation we are primarily defending cases of criminal law with a reference to immigration or administrative law. Requests concerning capital offenses („blood and thunder“) are referred to our colleagues Dr. Ingo Hofmann (Neu-Ulm), Falk-Peter Hirschel (Ulm), Alfred Nübling (Ulm) und Christina Seng-Roth (Ulm).

Cases processed by us are mainly concerned with the suspicion of illegal entry, illegal residence, assistance to that and other violations of the Residence Act, i.e. claims of a marriage of convenience or smuggling of migrants. In these cases also the role of the standards of international public and Union law – which the competent criminal judges are often not even entirely aware of – shoulnd’t be underestimated.
